How Two Moms Inspired the Start of Celebrate Every Breath

How Two Moms Inspired the Start of Celebrate Every Breath

When I came back from a series of treatments, I honestly didn’t know how to describe the season I was in. That was my first stage of treatment, battling Stage IV cancer, and everything felt so uncertain. During that time, this mission—Celebrate Every Breath—was planted in my heart.

At first, I doubted it. I wasn’t confident about how I could pull it off, especially while going through treatment. But somehow, even while confined in the hospital, I found myself planning, talking to suppliers, and dreaming of what this could become. It was as if something bigger than me was pushing me forward, even when I was weak.

By October 2024, I returned home, still unsure where to begin. And just when I thought I couldn’t take on more, I caught shingles. I remember feeling so overwhelmed—how can I possibly fulfill this mission when I could barely keep up with my own health?

And then came two of my dear friends, Myla and Jen. Both are amazing women, loving moms, and the kind of friends who lift you up just by being present. They visited me at home, simply to check on me and hear how I was doing.

As we talked, I shared a bit about the project. The products were ready - but honestly, I wasn't. I had everything in place, except the confidence to actually begin. I have a lot of hesitations. To my surprise, they leaned in without hesitation. They didn't just listen - they encouraged me. Their support wasn't about the products, but the purpose behind them. They believed in the mission, even before I fully stepped into it.

And they were actually serious, within days, both of them placed orders—planning to gift these items to their friends for the holidays. I’ll never forget that moment with Jen: she was in a hurry to bring the merch to a friends’ meet-up, and I didn’t even have a final price yet! I was recovering anyway, so I was left with no choice but I was pushed to calculate costs, finalize the details, and in that moment, my very first sale was born.

A few days later, Myla also placed her order. She wanted to share the message with her friends, too. Looking back, I realized that Myla and Jen didn’t just “buy something.” They were the ones who initiated me to take real action. They made me see that this mission had life, and that it mattered—not just to me, but to others too. For that, I will be forever grateful.

There’s a saying: “You only need your first sale to know more will come.”
For me, Myla and Jen were more than that first sale. They were the first believers. The first encouragers. The ones who reminded me that even in the middle of a battle, something beautiful could be born.
