The Woman Who Breathed Life Into Celebrate Every Breath: Honoring the Quiet Power of Shyla Tan

The Woman Who Breathed Life Into Celebrate Every Breath: Honoring the Quiet Power of Shyla Tan

Every meaningful cause begins with a story — not always grand, but deeply human. Celebrate Every Breath didn’t begin with a product launch, a press release, or a marketing campaign. It began with healing. With a quiet promise. And with one woman who turned belief into action.

Her name is Shyla Tan — a woman of compassion, grace, and generosity. And without her, Celebrate Every Breath’s first project may not have taken flight when it did.

A Simple Lunch, A Spark of Pure Purpose

It was just a simple lunch among friends — stories, laughter, and a little catching up. Somewhere in the middle of our conversation, the mission behind Celebrate Every Breath was briefly mentioned.

Shy was quietly listening.
And before I could even say more, she looked up and said,

“I want to order 50 bears.”

It caught me off guard. She wasn’t asked. She just heard what it was for — and immediately wanted to help. When I asked what she planned to do with them, she simply smiled,

“I’ll give them to friends.”

That moment said everything about who she is — a woman of quiet grace, pure purpose, and a heart that gives without hesitation.

Later on, as if kindness found its echo, Ellen, who was also with us, softly said,

“I’ll get 10 too.”

No one planned it. No one asked for it. It was just a ripple of generosity — one heart inspiring another.

That moment wasn’t just a personal gesture. It became the turning point. That one order — from one heart — allowed Celebrate Every Breath to move from dream to action. Because of her, and a few others who supported, the first donation of ₱30,000 was made to the Little Ark Foundation – being able to support kids dealing with cancer. A mission that was once just an idea had now made its first impact.

And just when it seemed her support had reached its peak, she quietly supported once again, ordering another 50pcs of bears.

The Woman Behind the Generosity

Shyla Tan is a woman of many hats — a devoted mother, a multi-awarded entrepreneur, a philanthropist, and a socialite with substance. She was recently honored with the Hall of Fame Award 2025 at the Philippine Best Dressed Gala Night, a recognition that reflects not just her success, but the way she carries herself with elegance, influence, and heart.

She moves in spaces of influence yet carries herself with humility. She speaks with kindness, uplifts others effortlessly, and is known not only for what she does — but for how she makes others feel.

Her presence is calming. Her words, always life-giving. She’s the kind of person who makes you feel seen and heard, no matter who you are. And she has been a consistent force of encouragement to the founder of Celebrate Every Breath, not just during the birth of this project, but through life’s many seasons.

She’s a reminder that impact doesn’t always look like fanfare. Sometimes, it looks like a quiet yes. A thoughtful gesture. A belief in something not yet fully formed.

A Mission That Breathes Because of People Like Her

Celebrate Every Breath was created with one purpose: to honor life — every moment, every breath, especially for those who’ve been through battles that most never see. It’s about creating something meaningful, not just for cancer warriors, but for anyone facing life’s hardest moments.

And while the products — like the bears named Hope and Champ — carry that message forward, it’s the people behind the scenes who give the mission life.

People like Shyla.

She didn’t wait for a finished brand. She didn’t ask what was in it for her. She simply believed — and that belief made all the difference.

 The Legacy of Quiet Giving

This isn’t just a story about one act of generosity. It’s a story about how quiet giving changes lives. How one woman’s faith in a cause helped turn hesitation into momentum. How a moment shared over lunch became the launchpad for a movement that continues to grow.

Celebrate Every Breath will always be rooted in stories like this — stories of people who choose to help, not because they’re asked, but because they feel called.

We don’t always know where support will come from. But sometimes, it arrives wrapped in grace — in the form of a woman like Shyla Tan.

Because of her, this mission breathes. And because of her, we believe even more deeply that this is only the beginning.

With Love & Purpose, Tin
